Hyderabad, July 18: 'Kerintha' fame actor Sumanth Ashwin, who has along these lines played the boy-next-door and college-going roles, says that his upcoming film, 'Happy Wedding', will be high on emotions.

Talking about his role in the rom-com entertainer, Sumanth shares, "I play the role of a groom-to-be in the film, and all the events occur in the 3 months before the wedding. The role is very new to me and since there are several scenes where I and my bride-to-be (played by Niharika Konidela) share straightforward moments which make the film looks realistic."

Sumanth states that the movie has given him an opportunity to delve into a new extent as an actor. "The emotional quotient of the bride and groom during the time of marriage has also been finely captured," he states.

However, the actor is confident that the audience will accept him in this new role. "The film's director Lakshman Karya has handled with the subject vitality. I had to take off a shyness to look the part — look-wise and in terms of body language. But I am sure the film will smack a chord with the audience," says Sumanth, adding that he's quite happy with his career linear.

"I am happy with the way my career has shaped up so far.
