Very Painful: Minor deaf girl gang-raped by 22 men

Chennai, July 17: In a horrific incident, At least 22 men including elevator operators, security guards, and plumbers raped a 12-year-old girl for seven months.

The victim suffers from the hearing disorder. The officers have arrested 18 suspects involved in the heinous crime and are investigating the case.

This horrific incident took place in Purasawalkam, Chennai. The complex has around 300 flats, which are almost empty. Informing the cops, the girl said that she was first raped by a 66-year-old elevator operator.

She further stated that after three days, two more men joined the elevator operator and raped her under the influence of alcohol. The criminals also videotaped the act and after a few days, some other men joined them.

The men drugged the girl with injections and drug-infused soft drinks. They also forced her to sniff a powder before sexually assaulting her. They taped the entire act and threatened her to stay mum. The girl is scared of the men kept her silence.

The police informed that as soon as she used to get down from school van, Ravi Kumar - the 66 year-old-man elevator operator, used to take her to the basement, public washroom or terrace to rape her. As most of the flats remained unoccupied, they continued the crime for days.

The report further stated that the girl's father stays out of town for work. Her mother, a homemaker, assumed that her daughter used to reach home late after school as she was busy playing with her friends in the complex.

The police officer informed that last Saturday, the 12-year-old told everything to her older sister, who is studying in a college in Delhi.

Her sister informed parents about the horrific incident, upon which they lodged a complaint in Ayanavaram women police station. Medical examination revealed that many have raped the 12-year-old.
