YSR Biopic helps Congress (or) YSRCP?

Hyderabad, July 17: As we know that, The biopic on former CM Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy is being made in the name of 'Yatra' is creating a lot of buzz in Telugu states.

Malayalam superstar Mammootty is reprising the role of YSR in this film being directed by Mahi V Raghava of 'Anando Brahma' fame. Teaser of Yatra was unveiled on the occasion of YSR birthday recently.

Apparently, the film will showcase his Padayatra to become CM in 2004. His yatra was crucial to bring back congress party to power. It also helped the party to gain power in center. YSR is charismatic leader who has a heroic image in the hearts of Telugu people. Yatra is being made to remind his greatness and glory to the public.

The film is planned for release ahead of 2019 elections. So, the question is which party it would benefit in the polls. YSR was torchbearer of Congress party.

After his demise, his son YS Jagan came out of congress and established YSR congress party. Perhaps, the party seems to be in dilemma to claim their stakes on the film Yatra. The film will certainly have congress flags in it if it is being made honestly.

In this regard, YSR leaders in confusion, how to promote the film favor to them. On the other hand, NTR biopic being made by Balakrishna and Krish has no such confusions as NTR is synonymous to TDP.
