Balkampet Yellamma Kalyanam Festival started

Hyderabad, July 16: Goddess Yellamma Temple is one of the most famous temples, located in Balkampet, Hyderabad City. This Temple is Most Popular Temple for Bonalu.

The Presiding deity is Goddess Yellamma in the temple, which belongs to 15th century A.D. Goddess here is located in a well which is nearly 15 feet depth.

Sri Yellamma is also known as "Bala Tripura Sundari". Sri Pochamma idol installed on the south side of the temple. Sri Yellamma is also believed to be Renuka Devi, Mother of Lord Parasurama.

Every Sunday is treated as a special day for the goddess here. Bonalu festival is the most important festival celebrated here during Ashadamasam.

Renuka Devi Kalanotsavam in Balkampet Yellamma Temple in Hyderabad is one of the biggest temple festivals around Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

In view of Kalyanam of Yellamma Devasthanam, Balkampet from July 16 to 18, thousands of devotees are expected to throng to have darshan and there is every likelihood of streets around Yellamma Temple, get congested with devotees and their vehicles.

In order to facilitate free movement of vehicles, to relieve congestion, to maintain smooth flow of traffic and to ensure public safety and order, the city police have imposed the following restrictions.

PARKING PLACES: Near R&B Office, Near Nature Cure Hospital, SR.Nagar Community Hall, Padma Sree Apts to Nature cure Hospital roadside parking ,GHMC Playground, Ameerpet.

General public are requested to cooperate with the Traffic Police during the above period and take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
