TRS MLA upset with KTR, quits the party

Karimnagar, July 09: Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana from Ramagundam in Peddapalli district declared that he was resigning from the party and also retiring from politics here on Monday.

Satyanarayana who is also chairman of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) stated that he had ceased going to the RTC office and he would also resign from his post in a couple of days.

According to the party leaders, Satyanarayana was disappointed with the way TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao have been authorizing district-level party leaders without discerning the ground phenomenon.

Satyanarayana had given no courage gesture against the mayor and deputy mayor in the Ramagundam municipal corporation.

The no assurance issue came to the consideration of KT Rama Rao, who managed the MLA to withdraw the note. The MLA is said to be troubled with the minister's orders.

Saying that he would not go to any party, the MLA said that he was taking political sanyas.

Alleging that few people were blocking the development in the district, the MLA further said that he would not contest in any elections.

He clarified that he had to take this decision because there was no support for development.

"It is better to move away from politics before getting a bad name that I could not serve the people," said Satyanarayana.
