Pilgrims got struck in Manasarovar Yatra

Nepal, June 03: As we know that, Thousands of pilgrims are stranded in a small town in Nepal after heavy rain caused landslips along the route of the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra.

In those, Around 1000 Indians got struck, who are from Telugu states, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other states.

According to officials of the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), the pilgrims arranged for the tour through a private religion television channel.

With heavy rain and landslips, they are stranded at Simikot Town, Nepal, which is close to the entry point to Tibet.

Only mini-airplanes can operate in the area owing to the weather conditions. Most of the people from the State are from Ramanagaram, Mandya, and Bengaluru.

Reports have poured in stating that more than 500 pilgrims from across the country are stranded at Simikot.

In this regard, Union Minister Sushma Swaraj has responded to the issue and urged Nepal Govt to provide helicopters to rescue the pilgrims.

Sushma also tweeted that they had sought help from the police in Hilla. She posted helpline numbers in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada and Malayalam languages on Twitter.
