CM KCR offers prayers at Goddess Kanaka Durga Temple

Vijayawada, June 28: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday visited the Kanaka Durga Temple located on the Indrakeeladri hillock in Vijayawada and offered prayers to the Goddess.

Honoring the vow he made during the time of Telangana agitation, KCR offered a nose ring to the Goddess Kanaka Durga.

KCR, accompanied by his wife and family members, visited the Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada, where he offered his prayers to the deity and then donated the nose stud to the temple. Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Rao, TRS party leader Keshava Rao and Vice-Chairman of Mission Bhagiratha V Prashant Reddy were also part of the temple visit.

Before Telangana statehood was achieved, KCR had prayed to several gods and goddesses. Once it was declared a separate state, he went back to the temples and donated gold ornaments

The Chief Minister had undertaken several vows during his visits to many famous temples in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh such as Tirupati Balaji and Vijayawada Kanaka Durga for separate Telangana.

Previously, he offered gold ornaments to Lord Balaji at the Tirumala temple.
