Gujarat CM slams Hardik Patel

New Delhi, June 15: Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani on Thursday rubbished Hardik Patel for spreading rumors about his resignation and said that the Patidar leader is peddling lies to gain the media's attention.

Speaking to media persons, Rupani said, "For staying in media's eye, he (Hardik) has now started spreading such lies. I am not sure whether he knows the system or not but no chief minister submits the resignation in the cabinet. The CM has to submit his or her resignation to the Raj Bhavan (governor)."

"Rupani had resigned yesterday during the cabinet meet. I am saying this with full confidence. Rupani was asked to resign because he has failed to handle the administration properly," Hardik Patel said
