Absconding NRI husbands may lose assets

New Delhi, June 14: The government plans to make legal amendments to seize the share of the joint property of NRI husbands who do not count court summons.

The government has taken steps to halt the growing number of NRI husbands who are leaving the wives after marrying luxurious lifestyles.




The Ministry of External Affairs hopes to include the names of their names on the website that do not face legal action to change the identity of the police, They are planning to take action against them, declaring them absconding, and seizing their property and terminating passports.

On the other hand, the government has been quick to implement the provision of NRI marriages to be registered within 48 hours of the recently announced marriage. A group of ministers, including senior ministers like Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh and Maneka Gandhi, have decided to speed up the amendments to ensure that the NRIs.
