Electric Cars to visit Tirumala

Tirupati, June 12: In a stunning initiative of Eco- Friendly system, The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will be using electric cars for commuting at Tirumala and Tirupati.

This is the first time that any organization in the world is using electric cars. Each of these cars costs Rs. 11 lakh. They can be charged easily, within a short time and the running costs are also very less compared to other means of fuel.



TTD will take care of the maintenance and running costs of these electric cars. Andhra Pradesh (AP) government will release 350 cars by June end.
