Man attacks his wife along with his daughters

New Delhi, June 10: In a macabre incident, a 40-year-old man allegedly threw acid on his wife and two daughters and then drank it to kill himself in northeast Delhi's Karawal Nagar, the police official said here on today.

His wife and two kids have been admitted to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment, sources added.

Delhi police officials have sent the body of the man for postmortem. It is suspected that the man drank acid and committed suicide. Investigations are underway.

His wife has suffered about 40 per cent burn injuries while daughters got partially burnt but were out of danger, the police said.

The couple were not on good terms and used to quarrel frequently, they said.
