This is a mysterious death

Banda, Jun 10: In a gruesome incident, an 18-year-old girl, nursing aspirant, was allegedly shot dead for making a complaint against molesters in Banda district on late Friday night.

The girl was identified as Vandana Raikwar daughter of Raju Raikwar, a native of Mahoba district. The girl had filed a molestation complaint against the attackers four days ago.

The police detained three persons for questioning soon after the murder came to light in the late night hours of Friday, while the main accused is on run.

The family of the deceased girl stated that the victim, preparing for the nursing exam was putting in the rented accommodation in Noniya Mohal Basti in Katra locality of the district.

The police are probing the matter. No arrests have been made so far.
