Mumbai, June 09: Mumbai is bracing for heavy rain on Saturday amid warnings from the meteorological department for the weekend.
On the other hand, 32 flights have been delayed due to weather conditions. Another 3 flights were canceled. Local trains have been delayed by 10-15 minutes, the Central Railway said.
A vehicle was rolled out in the Parel area due to rains. The police were alerted and suggested to the public, not to go anywhere if necessary
The Met department has already warned that there will be heavy rains in Mumbai today. On the other hand, weather analysts estimate that extreme conditions can be more severe than 2005.
The officers were alerted and took care of it. Fishermen have been advised against venturing into sea off the Konkan and Goan coast till June 12.
Till 8 pm on Friday, The National Disaster Management Team alerted Navy officers. Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy rains in Mumbai for another two days.
