Look At the Kumaraswamy Cabinet

Banaglore, June 06: Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy carried out the first expansion of his cabinet on Wednesday, including seven leaders from the Janata Dal (Secular) or JD (S) and 12 of the Congress in the coalition government.

Kumaraswamy's JD (S) and the Congress have decided to split the 34 ministries in the ratio of 2:1. As a result, the Congress will get 22 ministries and the JD(S) 12, including the chief minister's post.

The Congress Chief Minister in the state played a key role in the formation of the coalition government. Shivakumar has been handed over to the Ministry of Irrigation and Medical Education. 14 from the Congress and seven from JDS were sworn in as ministers. The Home Department has been handed over to the Congress and the Finance Ministry has received the JDS.

Here are leaders of both parties who are likely to be made ministers in the cabinet expansion. N Mahesh of the Bahujan Samaj Party and Shankar of the Karnataka Praja Janata Paksha were made ministers in the expansion.

Congress Ministers : DK Shivakumar, RV Deshpande, KJ George, krihshan Byre Gowda, Rajashekaar patil, Shivanand Patil, Priyanka Kharge, UT Khadar, Zamir Ahmed Khan, Puttaranga Shetty, Shivashankar Reddy, Jayamala.
