Jordans PM resigned Amid Protest

Jordan's Prime Minister Honey Mulki resigned from his post. Countrywide concerns have been going on against him for the past few days.

According to the sources, The resignation, was said to have been brokered during a meeting with the country's King Abdullah II, who called for "national dialogue" in the wake of public anger over tax increases imposed as part of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) austerity package designed to reduce the Middle Eastern country's debt.

The people oppose the new tax bill introduced with the support of the International Monetary Fund. The tax bill is not suitable for the poor and the middle class. Over the past few days, protests against the prime minister have been rampant.Tear gas was also launched by police.

Mulki opposed the decision to cancel the tax bill introduced with IMF support. The decision to approve the bill is in the hands of the Parliament. The government claims that the public system is needed to make money. Most taxpayers have to pay higher taxes due to the new tax system. Recently King Abdullah issued summons to Mulki. According to his orders, Mulki has resigned from his post.
