KCR flies to DELHI for New Zonal System Talks

Hyderabad, May 27: The Telangana Chief Minister KCR has left Delhi. In a Special Flight, he started to Delhi from Begumpet Railway Station Hyderabad.


In this regard, The Cheif Minister will stay at least Four days in Delhi. Chief Minister is likely to meet Narendra Modi along with several central ministers.

The CM will discuss with the Center on the revision of the Presidential Order for the new zonal system.

He also discusses the issues of High court Division and Reservation hike Etc.

Earlier, The new Zonal Policy and Farm Life Insurance Scheme has been approved by the Cabinet.

The Cabinet approvals are as follows.

Formation of Two (2) Multi Zones and Seven (7) Zones namely Kaleshwaram, Basara, Rajanna, Bhadradri, Yadadri, Charminar and Jogulamba. The first four will be under Multi Zone 1 and next 3 will be under Multi Zone 2

• In future there will be three (3) cadres namely District, Zonal and Multi Zonal

• Reservations will be based on 95% for local and 5% for open for all. Locals also can compete in non-local quota

• To decide local status one must study from 1st class to 7th class any four years in the local area

• Rs. 5 lakhs per head group insurance coverage to all farmers between the ages group of 18 to 60

• The premium amount is Rs. 2,271 per farmer per year

• The total budgetary provision will be Rs. 1,000 Crores

• Premium to be paid for all by 1st of August every year

• The scheme will be formally announced on 2nd June 2018 on State Formation Day and will be formally launched on 15th August 2018 by Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao. The same day of launching CM KCR will distribute Certificate of Insurance to some farmers formally. Later concerned MLAs will continue distribution in their respective constituencies

• LIC is entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the scheme. The insurance forms prepared by LIC will be handed over to AEOs for processing Rythu Samanvaya Samithis will coordinate

• Insured farmer will propose the nominee to whom Rs. 5 lakhs of insured amount will be paid on the death of farmer. The death may be of any type including natural or accidental or otherwise

• Cabinet noted that even though the premium amount will be much- much lesser, had been a mere accidental death, the government preferred Life Insurance to infuse self confidence among farmers, though the premium amount is higher

• Cabinet approved staff provision including Managing Director to State Rythu Samanvaya Samithi by way of redeployment

• For the Health Department Professors who are in teaching profession the retirement age limit is increased from 58 to 65.

Chief Minister immediately after the cabinet meeting left for New Delhi to request Rashtrapathi to revise the earlier presidential orders.
