Telangana DGP warning message to citizens

Hyderabad, May 23: The Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) M Mahender Reddy has urged citizens to avoid social media rumors on kidnappers and burglars here on Tuesday.

In a release here, Mr Reddy said from the past few days there are messages and photos to this effect that are spread through social media - Whatsapp and Facebook which are not true.

The citizens can dial 100 or contact nearby Police Station personally or through Twitter, Facebook in case of emergency, the DGP said.

The Telangana Police is thriving hard for the citizen's protection and citizens can feel safe and secured.

There is no such prowls which are spread through social media, he said, adding, the IT wings along with the Law and Order personnel are on job round the clock to respond for emergencies.

Citizens can always inform the police if they find anything suspicious, the release added.
