Highest petrol prices in India today

New Delhi, May 17: In a shocking news that Petrol and diesel prices today were hiked by 22-24 paise per liter across Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai.
With that, petrol prices in Delhi are less than 1 percent away from an all-time high of Rs. 76.06 per litre, recorded in September 2013.
According to the details, Diesel price in Delhi hit a fresh all-time high today - meaning it had never been sold at today's level in the past. Petrol and diesel prices are currently revised on a daily basis.
In the other metropolitan cities of Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai also, petrol prices were at fresh multi-year high levels of Rs 77.79, Rs 82.94 and Rs 77.93 per litre respectively, data from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) website showed.
The previous highs in these cities were Rs 78.03 (Kolkata, August 2014), Rs 83.62 (Mumbai, September 2013) and Rs 79.55 (Chennai, September 2013) respectively.
