Minister Mahmood Ali Praises 'Rythu Bandhu' Scheme

Hyderabad, May 13: The Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Md. Mahmood Ali has praised the TRS government, which has made a pioneering contribution in giving a fillip to the agriculture sector by launching the landmark investment support 'Rythu Bandhu'scheme.

Telangana hogged national attention following the purification of land records in a short span of 100 days under the aegis of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, facilitating the scheme, which has benefitted over 58 lakh farmers across the State, he said.

He was addressing a gathering of farmers at Bethupalli Gangaram in Sattupalli mandal after disbursing cheques to several beneficiaries under the scheme on Saturday.

The State government has introduced tamper-proof pattadar passbooks with security features to weed out bogus ones, he said, listing out measures initiated by the government to expand irrigation cover and rejuvenate the farm sector.
