Saurav Ganguly Surprised on BCCI selection

New Delhi, May 09: As we knew that, The BCCI has announced the squad for the Upcoming action with Afghanistan and England Series.

In this regard, For the test with Afghanistan Anikya Rahane has been roped in for Virat Kohli. But the player has not placed in ODI in upcoming series with England.

From this perspective, The former Indian Captain Saurav Ganguly has fired on BCCI committee.

Ajinkya Rahane has missed out on a limited-overs squad. A harsh decision," Ganguly said.

"I would still pick Ajinkya Rahane ahead of Ambati Rayudu. Ajinkya Rahane is a far superior player in England where the ball is going to move. He has got a good record in England."

"Shreyas Iyer is in the England ODI side which is a good decision. Karun Nair (in the Test squad vs Afghanistan) is a bit of a surprise. I am surprised that Shreyas Iyer has not been picked for the one-off Test considering he's been brilliant for Delhi in the IPL," Ganguly said.
