Former MLA Kannababu quits TDP, Joins in YSRCP

Visakhapatnam, May 05: In a significant change, The Former MLA UV Ramana Murthy Raju, popularly known as Kannababu and his son U Sukumar Varma, Chairman of Visakha DCCB have quit Telugu Desam Party.

After taking this decision yesterday, they submitted their resignation letters to TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, State party head Kala Venkat Rao and District party president P Rameshbabu.

Confirming their decision, Sukumar Varma said he and his father along with their followers would be joining YSR Congress Party today in the presence of the party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Kannababu had served as MLA of Visakhapatnam district's Yalamanchili for two terms. He joined TDP in 2014 just before the elections.
