Man kills his mother over property dispute

Hyderabad, May 03: Here is dreadful incident has occurred, an auto driver allegedly killed his mother over a property dispute at their relative's house in SR Nagar on Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as G Bhagyamma, 52, from Guntakal in Anantapur. The accused is her youngest son, Vijay, 30. About 20 days ago, Bhagyamma's husband Ramanjaneyulu, a retired railway Gangman, died.

After his death, Bhagyamma's three sons started harassing her to distribute ancestral property. A week ago, Bhagyamma came to Hyderabad to stay with her relative Eeramma.

On Wednesday morning, Bhagyamma's youngest son, Vijay came to Hyderabad and met his mother at Eeramma's house in SR Nagar. Eeramma's daughter-in-law Chittemma was with Bhagyamma.

After Vijay started speaking to Bhagyamma, Chittemma walked out to attend to work. A little later, Chittemma saw that the main door of the house was shut and she knocked. Vijay opened the door and ran away.

"Vijay attacked his mother with a pestle and killed her," SR Nagar SI G Rajendar Goud said. Police shifted the body for autopsy. Murder case was registered and a manhunt launched.
