Harish Rao: Suryapet will gets first benefit of Kaleshwaram Project

Suryapet, Apr 25: The Telangana Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao here on Tuesday stated that even though there are abundant water resources, the State suffered because of apathy on the part of successive government in the united Andhra Pradesh.

Harish Rao along with Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, MPs Gutha Sukender Reddy, Boora Narsaiah Goud, Badugula Lingaiah Yadav and District Collector Surendra Mohan, inspected the works of SRSP satge-2 in the district.

He inspected the canal works at Bakthalapuram of Penphad mandal and ordered the contract agencies HPCL and GOAL to speed up the works to provide irrigation facility for two crops.

Stating that the Kaleshwram is the biggest project. As many as 86 gates would be installed and it would benefit 10,000 farmers in the State. Telangana State would become a fertile State by proper utilisation of Krishna and Godavari waters and Suryapet district will gets the first benefit of Kaleshwram Project.

In the programme MLAs Vemula Veeresham, Gadhari Kishore, TSFDC chairman Banda Narender Reddy,RDO Mohan Rao, local TRS leaders and officials concerned participated.
