Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018: Here is Survey Predict

Bangalore, April 24: A survey has indicated that the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections are likely to witness a "photo-finish", with the rivals BJP and Congress neck and neck.

The Congress party is likely to win a total of 91 seats while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to manage with 89 seats in the Karnataka Assembly Election 2018, predicted an opinion poll survey.

The state is likely to be heading to a hung assembly, the opinion poll suggested. No major political party will cross the magic mark of 112 and form a government in Karnataka.

The JD(S) could emerge as the kingmaker with 40 seats.

If polls were held now neither Chief Minister Siddaramaiah nor B S Yeddyurappa (of the BJP) is in a position to form the government as they are both well short of the 112 mark," it said.

The Karnataka Assembly election will be held on May 12 and the counting of votes will be done on May 15.
