Hyderabad, April 23: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country's largest IT outsourcing company created history on Monday by becoming the first Indian company to reach the $100 billion market capitalization (m-cap) mark
The market capitalization (value) reached $ 100 billion after TCS stock rose 4 percent in the stock market today, Rs 6,80,912 crore.
The BSE benchmark Sensex today closed 4.39 per cent higher at Rs 3,557 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
TCS became a $25-billion company in 2010 and hasn’t looked back since. It crossed the $50-billion mark in 2013 and then the $75-billion figure a year later.
Tatas have more than a hundred companies, and 85 per cent of the Group's revenue comes from TCS. In the March quarter, the company's revenue grew by 8 per cent to Rs 32,075 crore.
The company also announced another bonus for a share of the company. Reliance Industries is the second largest company in the country in terms of market value, followed by HDFC Bank
