Man traveled 580 km to rape a minor Girl

New Delhi, April 12: In a drastic situation, An eight-year-old girl was gang-raped repeatedly inside a village temple, kept sedated for hours, and raped again just before being killed in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua by six men, Police said.

The Police officials also said that, One of their friend who had been "invited" to come all the way from Meerut to "satisfy his lust". This means the man travels near about 580 km to rape her.

Coming to more details, The girl was confined using sedatives, then strangled and hit on the head twice with a stone — “in order to make sure” she was dead. But not before another accused, a police personnel, asked the others to “wait because he wanted to rape” her one last time.

The charge-sheet also names two more policemen - head constable Tilak Raj and sub-inspector Anand Dutta - who allegedly took Rs. 4 lakh from Sanji Ram and destroyed crucial evidence.

The child's body was found in the forests near her village on January 17.

The girl went missing on January 10 while grazing horses in the forest. Investigators said the accused men kidnapped her after pretending to help her find her horses.
