IAF chief Tyagi held in Agusta deal

New Delhi, Dec 10 : S P Tyagi the former Air Force chief was arrested by CBI on friday over alleged irregularities in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal, signed when the Congress was in power. He was arrested in the charge of corruption in its ongoing probe of Agustawestland helicopter deal of worth Rs 3,600-crores.
Tyagi along with his cousin Sanjeev Tyagi alias Julie Tyagi and a Delhi based lawyer, Gautam Khaitan were taken in to custody from Delhi.
Devpreet singh, the CBI spokesperson said "S P Tyagi, his cousin Sanjeev Tyagi and Gawtam Khaitan were arrested from Delhi. They will be produced before a designated CBI court on saturday".
