Amazon removes 60 employees

New Delhi, Apr 03: Here is the latest news that The E-commerce Gaint Amazon India has reportedly laid off its 60 employees over global restructuring.

According to reports, citing sources, it said that Amazon India may future might handover pink slips to more of its staff.

"As a global organization, we have recognized the need to organize our teams to keep us agile and help us use our resources optimally. This has impacted a small number of roles within the company and we are providing complete support to the impacted employees, including the option of relevant internal postings and outplacement services," the Amazon spokesperson said.

In the fourth quarter of 2017, Amazon had hired around 25 percent more employees as compared to the previous year based on its performance improvement plans (PIPs), which may be connected with the layoffs that the company is conducting.

In February 2018, Amazon had also announced layoffs for hundreds of employees at its Seattle headquarters.
