Smith, Warner banned from IPL

New Delhi, Mar 28: AS we knew that, Australia Batsmen Steve Smith and David Warner have been booked under the Ball tapering case in this regard, Both players have been banned from this year's Indian Premier League (IPL), starting next month, tournament commissioner Rajiv Shukla has confirmed.

Australia in the fallout for the ball-tampering scandal that rocked the third Test against the Proteas at Newlands in Cape Town last weekend.

Earlier in the week Smith had stepped down from his captaincy role at the Rajasthan Royals, while Warner did similarly at the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

"The franchises will get replacements for the players," Shukla confirmed.
