Rayalaseema Creates Record Temparature

Amaravati, Mar 23: The mercury levels went up a few notches above the normal in major cities across Andhra Pradesh.

In this regard, Meteorological department official said that there had been a rise in the day temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above the normal in most parts of the state.

Anantapur registered at 41 degrees Celsius on Thursday, the highest temperature recorded in the state. The temperature recorded was 5 degrees above the normal.Kurnool had a high of 40 degrees Celsius.

The other temperatures in the State were: Nandyal &Jangamaheswarapuram 39 each, Tirupati , Kadapa Nandigama& Tuni 38 each, Kavali, Nellore, Vijayawada &Arogyavaram 37 each, Ongole & Visakhapatnam Airport 36 each, Kakinada 35, Bapatla& Machilipatnam 34 each, Kalingapatnam&Narsapur 33 each, Visakhapatnam 32
