TPCC chief about CM KCRs Third Front

New Delhi, Mar 20: The Congress party sought to dismiss the meeting between Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his counterpart from West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on Monday as a 'stunt' and "an attempt to split parties ranged against the NDA government in New Delhi."

Addressing a press conference in the national capital, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao was 'attempting to divert the attention of people who have begun questioning him on the promises made by the TRS during elections." He said the question of a Third Front does not have relevance as the TRS is no longer in a position to win MP seats in Telangana.

Meanwhile, Alampur MLA SA Sampath Kumar, one of the two Congress legislators expelled from the House on March 13 along with Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, said the High Court's directions to the Election Commission not to call for polls in the two constituencies and had increased his faith in the judiciary.

The All India Congress Committee's in-charge for Telangana RC Khuntia said Chandrashekhar Rao "let the cat out of the bag" by launching his move for a new political front. This is nothing but an attempt to divide parties opposed to the NDA which will ultimately benefit the Narendra Modi government, he said.
