Vice President, CM KCR participated in Ugadi celebrations

Hyderabad, Mar 18: The Vice-President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and other leaders and officials participated in Srivilambinama Ugadi celebrations at Raj Bhavan on Saturday evening, hosted by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan.

After the customary rituals, the gathering was treated to a cultural programme that included feats performed by Oggu Dolu artistes. Mr. Naidu, in his speech, said the livelihood and festivals of people were linked to nature.

Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy, Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary and Legislative Council Chairman K. Swamy Goud were present.

The Governor and Chief Minister extended their Ugadi greetings to Telugu people and wished them peace, prosperity and harmony in Telugu New Year.
