SSC Public exams begins today in Telangana

Hyderabad, Mar 15: The SSC Public Examinations commenced on peaceful note across the State on Thursday.
The exams began with the first language paper-I at 9.30 am and will conclude at 12.15 pm.
As many as 5,38,867 including 2,76,388 boys and 2,62,479 girls have registered for the SSC Public Exams.
The Directorate of School Education has arranged 2,542 centers across the State for smooth conduct of exams.
About 148 flying squads and four special flying squads have been constituted to monitor the exams.
With criticism mounting on the 'one-minute late' rule, the Directorate of School Education has decided to give five minutes of grace time for candidates appearing for the SSC exams, which begin on Thursday.
Students will be allowed inside the hall up to five minutes after the scheduled start of the exam, officials said.
However, they advised students to arrive at least 45 minutes before the exam starts.
