Passengers Stuck in Airports,  Flights cancelled

Mumbai Mar 13: Two Budget carrier Indigo and Go Air today has grounded canceled at least 65 flights on Tuesday.

Civil Aviation Regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Tuesday has grounded its eight A320Neo planes with faulty Pratt & Whitney engines +, along with three such aircraft of GoAir.

IndiGo canceled 47 flights and GoAir has canceled 18 flights originating from 8 cities. Sources said that currently many passengers have been stuck in various airports because of cancellation of flights.

Earlier DGCA Has ordered grounding of A320 Neos flights fitted with PW1100 engines beyond ESN 450 citing security reasons."

Experts said that It is a welcome step as Airlines cannot play with the lives of people by fitting Faulty engines.
