Centre responds on Kazipet Wagon Factory

Kazipet Mar 13: In a major Relief for Telangana people the Centre has accepted the proposal for setting up a Steel factory in the state of Telangana at Bayram.

The Decision in this regard was informed to state Government officials by Union Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba. He has said that a decision would be taken soon after a Feasibility would be accepted and if State Govt provides special incentives to which the state has responded positively.

He has also informed that "the periodical wagon overhauling workshop at Kazipet would be sanctioned by the Centre instead of wagon coach factory if the State handed over the land for the same."

The center had also informed that "work on horticulture university will be started soon at Mulugu in Gajwel Assembly segment and a tribal university would also be set up if state govt allots land for setting up the university".


Union Home Ministry officials have held a meeting with officials of both AP and TS and discussed various aspects of Implementation of AP Reorganisation ACT.

Many people have expressed Their pleasure and urged the state govt to ensure that land is acquired fastly so that key projects can be taken up.
