AP presents Last Budget

Amaravati Mar 8 : The Andhra Pradesh Government has presented its Budget for the year 2018-19 . The Finance Minister Yenamala Rama Krsihnudu has today presented a Rs 1.91-lakh-crore budget with a projected revenue surplus of Rs 5,235 crore, for financial year 2018-19 .

He has said that "The budget estimates entail an overall increase of around 21.69 per cent over Rs 1.56 lakh crore in 2017-18. The state's fiscal deficit was expected to touch Rs 24,205 crore, which would be over Rs 3,000 crore less than 2017-18. "

He added that "The per capita income of the state rose to Rs 1,42,054 in 2017-18, from Rs 1,23,664 in 2016-17, registering a jump of 14.87 per cent. "

FM has increased an allocation of Rs 24,185 crore, followed by rural development with Rs 20,815 crore. Rs 13,722 crore has been earmarked for welfare schemes . Irrigation has been allocated Rs 16,978 crore .Agriculture and allied services were allotted Rs 12,355 crore.
