SFIO summons ICICI Bank,Axis Bank Chairmain

New Delhi Mar 6: A Mega Scam in Punjab National Bank has shaken India and currently many agencies are investigating the cases and the main accused Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi have left India and have refused to come to India.

Recently SFIO an Investigative Agency under the corporate affairs ministry has summoned ICICI Bank chairman Chanda Kocchar and Axis Bank's Shikha Sharma for interrogation in the PNB scam case.

The officials said that "They have been summoned for giving the loan facility to Gitanjali Group. Our intention is to get the information from these two banks. We would like to question both of them."

Sources revealed that ICICI bank head of a consortium of 31 banks has given the working capital of Rs 5280 crore working capital facility to Gitanjali Jewellers owned by Mehul Choksi.

The Bank officials have not responded on the issue.
