Relegion card fails,Development wins in North East

Nagaland Mar 3: The election counting in 3 northeastern states is going on the trends are coming out and BJP has gained in the northeast and has formed a government in the Tripura and left has diminished in the state.

Sources said that the religion card played by the political parties have not worked and the people have voted only on the basis of Development as they felt that the northeast was neglected
by the left and Congress and they voted for BJP as they have won the 2014 elections based on development and they have believed Prime Minister Modi.

However, some experts said that Religion has worked in some parts of Meghalaya where Christians are in majority but the results have indicated the other.
