After 6 months one held for questioning in Gauri Lankesh murder case

Bengaluru, March 02: Nearly after six months after the murder of Editor Gauri Lankesh a 37 year has been taken into custody by police on Friday.

"K.T. Naveen Kumar was taken into custody by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police for questioning," SIT Investigating Officer M.N. Anucheth said.

Kumar hails from Birur town in Chikkamagaluru district, about 250km west from here, Anucheth said.The SIT initially sought a warrant for the arrest of Kumar in the Gauri Lankesh case – shortly after he was remanded to judicial custody in the illegal arms case – by citing voluntary statements given by a few of Kumar's friends about his links to the Gauri Lankesh murder.
