Tata -Boeing factory Inaugurated in Hyderabad

Hyderabad Mar 2: In a Move to further boost Make in India Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) had started production of the factory in Adibatla on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Thursday.

The Inaugural function was attended by union Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and she was accompanied by Telangana Minister for Industries and IT, KT Rama Rao. US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster and Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus, Tata Sons were also present.

The factory setup would produce fuselages for AH-64 Apache helicopter delivered by Boeing to its global customers including the US Army.The facility will also produce secondary structures and vertical spar boxes of the helicopter.

TBAL joint venture was formed after Tata and Boeings have reached an agreement to set up a industry in Hyderabad and the groundbreaking ceremony was held in 2016 which was attended by the Manohar Parrikar former defense minister.

Nirmala Sitaraman has said that this move would ensure
that Hyderabad becomes a hub for aerospace in Hyderabad.
