Biocon to Expand Business in Telangana

Hyderabad Feb 24: The Bio Asia Conference was held successfully in Hyderabad and many pharmaceutical companies have shown interest to invest in India.A Major boost in Pharmaceutical sector has been achieved after Biocon, India's largest biotechnology and pharmaceutical company has announced to increase its presence in Hyderabad on APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) and Intermediates to add 500 new jobs.

Biocon managing director Kiran Mazumdar Shaw met IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao has informed the minister in this regard.

She has also appreciated the visionary leadership of the Minister especially for the new strides in technology and innovation sectors in the State. Shah has also suggested a constitution of a committee comprising top business leaders, experts, and officials to ensure rapid growth of Hyderabad in future.

The Minister has informed the leaders regarding the opportunities that exist in the state and urged them to invest in the state.
