KTR Urges HMR Officials to increase frequency of Metro trains

Hyderabad Feb 21: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao has held a review meeting with the Hyderabad Metro rail Authority officials and urged them to increase the frequency and speed of Hyderabad Metro Rail services.

He has also asked them to explore possibilities of adding a fleet of electric buses to provide last mile connectivity from Metro stations.

During the meeting HMR, MD NVS Reddy has said that "the travel time between Miyapur and Nagole would come down further with the increase in frequency and speed in the coming days. On providing parking space for private vehicles, Metro Rail authorities said tenders related to the construction of 12 multi-level parking systems at different locations would be floated soon."

The Minister also told the officials to ensure adequate SHE toilets for women passengers.

Finally he has also urged the HMR to ensure that the construction of Remaining corridors would be
completed as per the schedule.
