Fake Diamond Scam Exposed

New Delhi Feb 20: A recent scam has shaken the country. The Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi Scam is getting Bigger and Bigger these days.Many new facts have emerged during the investigation of the case .Nirav Modi and Mehul choksi are big diamond and Gold merchants in the country.

Recently some former employees of the Company and also local jewelers of Surat have shared some intresting facts .they have shared the modus operandi of how jewelers loot the bank.

Former Employee of Gitanjali Gems has said that "Mehul Choksi used to overprice the diamonds by 10 times and would take a loan and then round trip the diamonds .he has also urged Auditors to create fake bills and Inventories so that more amount would be taken".

Local jewelers have also said that "Sometimes he used to Mix Artifical diamonds or Carbon vapourized Diamonds prepared in labs with Natural diamonds and sell them to customers".

They have also said that "Banks used to give loans to them because they didn't want the loans to turn Non Performing Assets so that their reputation would be damaged".
