CM KCR, Minister Talasani and film celebs paid tributes to Gundu Hanumantha Rao

Hyderabad, Feb 19: The Popular comedian Gundu Hanumantha Rao has passed away at the age of 61 years. Tollywood celebs have paid their rich tributes to the departed soul.

Film and television personalities visited Hanumantha Rao's house to pay their last respects. Among them were actors Rajendra Prasad, Brahmanandam, Murali Mohan, MAA president and actor Sivaji Raja.

Movies Artist Association(MAA) President Sivaji Raja in his condolence speech has reminded his association with Gundu Hanumantha Rao saying that their careers started at the same time i.e 30 years ago in Chennai. He became emotional saying that they are very close to each other and added how Amrutham TV serial has made them popular. He has also revealed some of the unknown incidents pertaining to them.

"Hanumantha Rao's demise is a great loss to the industry. He was a humble and jovial person," said Brahmanandam. "I've called Sivaji Raja thrice to check if the news is true. I believed it only after Hanumantha Rao's brother called me this morning."

Actors Mohan Babu and Balakrishna also expressed their condolences to the bereaved family.

CM KCR and Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav have also expressed condolences to the bereaved family.

Hanumantha Rao's last rites will be performed later today at the Erragadda crematorium.
