PM Modi Praises Tamil language and says it is older than Sanskrit

New Delhi Feb 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Friday has interacted with students and answered the questions related to examinations. PM has answered many questions and it was titled pariksha pe charcha. The meeting was held at Delhi.

However, During the interaction PM had apologized for speaking in Hindi and asked the people present there to translate into other languages. PM had also acknowledged the importance of other languages.

PM has said that "I always feel that knowledge of languages should exist." Later he has commented on Tamil Language and said that "Not many people know, but the Tamil language is older than Sanskrit. It is the oldest language."

He has also said that "It is such a beautiful language, but I feel bad that I can't speak it. I only know how to say 'vanakkam' and I regret that I cannot go beyond this."
