ACB arrests Panchayat Raj official on bribe charges

Hyderabad, Feb 15: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday caught red-handed Kurapati Chandra Prakash, Cheryl Sub-Division Deputy Executive Engineer (DEE) (Panchayat Raj) at his residence on the charges of taking bribe.

He was arrested while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 85,000 from a civil contractor to record the civil work.

The bribe amount was recovered from the accused officer's residence, ACB said in a release here.

The accused officer is being arrested and will be produced before the Special Court for ACB Cases, the release said.

The Police have registered a case and begun further investigation too.
