Maha Sivaratri celebrated with religious fervour

Hyderabad, Feb 14: Maha Sivaratri festival was celebrated with religious fervor across the erstwhile in the Telugu States on Tuesday and the temples of Lord Siva witnessed the heavy rush of devotees.

Chants of HarHarMahadev filled the air in temples across India and even the world as devotees celebrated Mahashivratri with gaiety and fervor.

People thronged places of worship in large numbers to pay obscience to the beloved diety. Long cues were seen in Shiva nagariKashi at Vishwanath temple through the day.

Lord Shiva, depending on his various qualities, have been recognised and called by 108 different names: Maheshwara, Shambhu, Soma, Shashvata, Parameshwara and others.
