Hyderabad students aim to hit Guinness record

Hyderabad, Feb 12: Over 15000 students and youngsters are aiming to hit a new Guinness record under the Swachh Hyderabad initiative to spread the message on the need to keep the city clean.

Speaking on the occasion, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said even before the Central Government launched the Swachh Bharat campaign, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had launched the Swachh Hyderabad initiative.



He appealed to the citizens to participate in the Swachh Survekshan campaign in large numbers and help Hyderabad bag the top position.

The students, armed with broomsticks assembled at BR Ambedkar College in Ramnagar division of GHMC and swept the roads.

The record is held by Vadodara municipality with over 5000 participants.
