Vishaka Railway zone gets green signal,Notification soon

Amaravati Feb 11: The center government has decided to fulfill the long pending demands which were promised to Andhra Pradesh people and which were included in AP Reorganization Act.

The Union government has started work on the creation of special railway Zone for Andhra Pradesh with Vishaka Patnam as the Headquarters.

TDP MPs and Ministers such as YS Chowdary and CM Ramesh have held talks with railway minister and Arun Jaitley in this issue.

Minister has also held talks with Odisha Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in this issue and has tried to convince him so that Odisha doesn't object the creation of Railway zone.

Sources said that the proposed railway zone would have Guntakal, Guntur, Vijayawada divisions and 80 percent of existing railway network in Waltair division.Officials have said that a notification in this regard would be soon issued.
