Gold prices increase globally

Mumbai Feb 10: The Gold prices have increased in last few days because the demand has increased in the month of February 2018. Sources said that "The prices rose around 3.5 percent in January its third consecutive month of gains and the biggest monthly increase since August 2017."

The prices have also increased globally and the rose to the high of $1,366. The commodity finally settled at $ 1,344.7. Currently 10 Grams gold is costing RS 30,117.Gold prices have gained 1.2 percent in the international market.

However Silver prices fell by Rs180 to Rs39,050 per kg due to reduced offtake by industrial units and coin makers.Traders said that " increased buying by local jewelers to meet the wedding season demand at domestic spot market mainly kept gold prices higher but a weak trend overseas capped the gain."

Globally, gold fell 0.20% to $1,315.70 an ounce and silver by 0.37% to $16.43 an ounce in New York in Friday's trade.
